What fees are charged on the BetDEX Exchange?

Users can expect to pay the following fees when transacting on the BetDEX Exchange:

• Protocol Commission

• Operator Commission

• Solana Transaction Fee

Protocol Commission

The Monaco Protocol may charge a commission on trades placed on the protocol. The commission rate is 1% as of October 24th, 2023. Additional information re: the Monaco Protocol commission can be found here.

Operator Commission

Operator Commission is the commission charged by the BetDEX Exchange to its users. This commission is charged as a % of net winnings in a given market. The commission rate is 2% as of October 24th, 2023.

Solana Transaction Fee

Placing orders on the BetDEX Exchange requires a user to have a small amount of SOL to pay for the transaction cost on the Solana blockchain. Solana was chosen because its transaction costs are the lowest of any blockchain. A typical transaction costs 0.000005 SOL which is the equivalent of ~$0.0001 at the time of writing (with Solana at $20) In addition, the Monaco Protocol often requires SOL to store data such as a user's bet position - these charges are temporary and refunded once the account is closed, however SOL is sometimes required to open these accounts on chain.
