Do I need to do KYC and what are the different KYC levels?

KYC means 'Know Your Customer' and is a requirement of BetDEX as a licensed betting exchange that aims to reduce online fraud and other suspicious and criminal activities such as those relating to money laundering and terrorist funding.

KYC means that at some point and at certain thresholds, the customer may be asked to identify themselves using official documentation such as passports or drivers license, address information and, in some circumstances, bank statements or other proof of wealth documentation.

The following are the KYC levels that BetDEX adheres to based upon your activity.

  • KYC Level 1 - A user is required to provide basic details, including name, DOB & Address

  • KYC Level 2 - A user is required to prove their identity and address with documents

  • KYC Level 3 - A user is required to prove their source of wealth and funds with documents
